Sourav Ganguly’s Acting Debut in “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter” Premiering March 20 on Netflix

Netflix has officially announced that Sourav Ganguly will be making his acting debut in the highly anticipated series “Khakee: The Bengal Chapter,” set to premiere on March 20. The series will feature Ganguly in the role of a fearless and honest police officer, inspired by his past experiences and controversies.

“Khakee: The Bengal Chapter” serves as a standalone sequel to Neeraj Pandey’s “Khakee: The Bihar Chapter” and is set in Kolkata in 2002. The storyline revolves around the death of a police officer in Bengal and follows IPS Arjun Maitra as he confronts ruthless gangsters and corrupt politicians to restore law and order in a crime-ridden region.

The series boasts a star-studded cast, including Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwik Bhowmik, Aadil Zafar Khan, Pooja Chopra, Aakanksha Singh, Mimoh Chakraborty, and Shraddha Das. Additionally, it will be the first Hindi show on Netflix to stream simultaneously in both Hindi and Bengali, featuring prominent actors like Jeet Madnani, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Parambrata Chatterjee, and Chitrangada Singh in lead roles.

Fans can look forward to an action-packed performance from Ganguly, who humorously references different cricket strokes while holding a wooden stick in the series. The gripping story, created by Neeraj Pandey, promises to be a thrilling addition to the Khakee franchise.
